Low Noise Barrier for Roadways

At Z-bloc Norden AB, we are proud to be part of a multi-year project aimed at developing a low noise barrier that seamlessly integrates into urban environments.

The project began on January 1, 2014, and runs for four years. Participants include: Stockholm’s Traffic Office, Stockholm’s Environmental Administration, Tyréns AB, Konstfack, Stockholm University, Z-bloc Norden AB

As part of the project, test measurements of a low noise barrier were conducted on Kungsholmen in Stockholm in May 2015. The goal was to evaluate the actual performance of a low noise barrier in a traffic environment.

For these tests, Z-bloc Norden AB’s railway noise barrier, Soundblock, was used. The measurement results are currently being compiled.
